About The Lighthouse

Here to help you find safety, support, and a life free from abuse.

Message from the Executive Director

Welcome to The Lighthouse.
It is an honor to serve as the Executive Director of an organization that has been a beacon of hope and safety for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. Every day, I am inspired by the courage of survivors and the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and community partners who stand beside them.

At The Lighthouse, we believe that everyone deserves to live free from fear and abuse. Our team works tirelessly to provide shelter, advocacy, and resources that not only meet immediate needs, but also empower survivors to build safe, stable, and fulfilling lives.

This work would not be possible without the generosity and compassion of our community. Together, we are breaking the cycle of violence, fostering resilience, and creating pathways toward healing and hope.

Thank you for visiting our website and for supporting our mission. Whether you are seeking help, looking for ways to give back, or simply learning more, know that you are part of a community committed to safety, dignity, and change.

With gratitude,
Megan Golden, LISW-S
Executive Director

You are not alone.

You are never to blame for the abusive actions of others. While responsibility for ending abusive behavior is your partner’s and theirs alone, there are several steps you can take to protect yourself on your path to long-term safety.

Remember that you always have options: our advocates are available 24/7 by phone or chat to discuss your situation and help create a personalized safety plan that’s right for you.
